Detailed Magnificent Rajasthan Tour Itinerary
On arrival at Jodhpur Airport/Railway Station meet our representative, you can check into the hotel. After rest, you will be taken to Mehrangarh Fort. This is a magnificent structure that is perched atop a hill. From here, you get to see the entire city dotted with blue houses. The fort is built entirely of red sandstones; it has extensive courtyards, palatial period rooms and latticed windows. Mehrangarh Fort stands as a testimony to various battles. There are several rooms in the fort which preserves priceless belongings of the royals such as textiles, palanquins, arms, and artifacts. During your Rajasthan trip, you will be taken for a short walk from the Mehrangarh Fort to another prominent landmark of Jodhpur, the Jaswant Thada. You will also be taken to see the ground floor of the 'Chandra Mahal Palace' which is still inhabited by the former royal family. You can tour Rajasthan's famous museums; Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum located inside the City Palace displays various artifacts of the former royalty. You can find an array of royal possessions which includes arms, inscriptions, costumes, and paintings. Within the palace premises, you can also visit the Govind Devji Temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Later, you can visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar which is an observatory. You can see a good collection of instruments that were once used for astronomical studies. Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is one of the largest observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. After the tour, you will be driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
